White Hats
Wearing a White Hat has a story behind it and means more that just a hat! Besides the fact that Garry Allen, the man that created Allen's back in the early 1980's, always wears a White Hat when he goes out the door it means so much more.
The 'White Hat' in our world stands for where we have come from, what we believe in, what we value and what we want to bring to the world.
'White Hats' - Where We Come From
Garry Allen comes from the country heart of Australia. He was born in Richmond in Western Queensland. Garry grew up in his early years in the small country town of McKinlay, the same place where the small town pub in 'Crocodile Dundee' the movie was filmed. He also spent years living and working in Mount Isa. Hiis parents, Eddie & Phillis Allen also managed cattle stations for Stanbroke Pastoral Company for many years.
If you come in to shop in Mareeba, you will see our tribute to Garry's Mum & Dad and country Australia. You will see the set of Bulls Horns on a plaque up above our shop counter. The set of horns that were presented to Eddie & Phillis when they retired from Stanbroke back in 1985.

Here at Allen's we believe in true country hospitality. We believe in treating others as we want to be treated. We believe in doing our best with whatever product or service we provide. We believe in doing our best to make sure that anyone that interacts with our business feels valued and is treated with value. We believe in working through any difficult situations that may arise or anything we might need to do better.
We believe in being the best we possibly can be, doing the best we possibly can and bringing the best we possibly can to our customers, suppliers and our staff.
